Aside from the usual stuff like metric sockets and wrenches, breaker bar, hammer, test light, pliers and ratchets of all sorts, and bit sets, on trips like this I bring a power probe (most bitchin' tool ever to diagnose electrical problems), multimeter, and drive belt tool. To own one of these cars you gotta have a basic knowledge of electricity hands down. I also carry the Haynes repair manual at all times, for those precious wiring diagrams it contains. As for spare parts on this trip I took: alternator, ignition coil, starter, heater valve, clutch master and slave cylinders, and a gallon of oil. Mechanical failures are always in the back of my mind but I usually just inspect driveshafts, wheel bearings, and the sort. Beyond that, whatever happens, happens. :)
