The quick report now that I've had about 10hrs of sleep in 48 hours.

- Keith's truck broke down (tranny/tcase/both) slipping once the trans/tcase heats up - tcase was bone dry - never made the trail was dragged to the house.

- Everyone left for the trail around 10am > trail head around ~11:15

- So hot 98 degrees that most trucks couldn't run AC without overheating

- plenty of technical sections with bypasses that are also chewed up.

- Needed winch at 1 mile before accident - have some shots in those areas

- last major hill is loose & sandy - E32N47 & Borderline Trail intersection.
All vehicles went up fine no assistance - Jefferson ran a different line, that proved too sandy.

- Jefferson's original passenger was keith - Keith swapped with Patrick (a guest of a guest) so he could help the stock D2 with lines.

- Jefferson attempted to back, Vehicle he was trailing made it to the top but we can't see down to the bottom until you get out and walk down to watch. We never saw jefferson. I didn't know if he was further back on the trail.

- Garret and I went on up further 1/4 mile within CB Range - while Stock D2 waited for Jefferson to come up.

- He got a call and reported that J had flipped - got a call on his phone (had service in that area)
We then went back to the top of the hill to look for him.

Only we Saw J, at the edge of where he went off did we know where he was.

Ran down the hill and Saw Passenger was being helped up - Amount of time that passed was not okay - no FRS / CB with Jefferson and he was the tail.

- Got passenger to main road (above Evan Flat Camp Ground - where trail dead ends)
- Got service - Called 911 to get him picked up at my location - he was in pain on his right side but conscious and talking to me - head took some major hits and was swollen pretty good.
- Directed fire Dept back to accident location so they could get Coordinates.
- Garrent and Stock truck had already assessed and rolled out, by that time and were almost back to bakersfield > via a road that leads more to glenville (basket pass road)
- All went back to LA > keith & Stock D2 - Passenger family notified while on the trail but thought the text was spam apparently until they got a call from the hospital.
- Don't know any further information on him Patrick Manlubay > was airlifted at some point to Kern Medical Center
- His Sister & Brother got to the hospital around 3am > and they were heading back home at 7:30am Sunday but didn't get any further report about patrick.
- posted on infectiousoffroad.com about accident for assistance > they offered and were planning whatever was needed. They didn't have the pictures.

- I got back on location @ 10am > 2 Rubicons arrived ~10:30/11am (both had 12.5K Winches I think with many snatch blocks.

- vehicle recovered with many winch adjustments and 3 separate winches - 1 winch bent itself up away from a 1/4 inch steel plate pulling.

- Truck righted 1st
- Then slid around to roll down the hill - back tires off bead but fronts still had air.
- rolled down easy about another ~200'
- used hi-lift to get roof off of steering wheel
- moved well enough to aim wheels in a direction to help turn.
- drug backwards up hill with 1 winch - then had to wait for another winch ~4:30pm
- 6pm started working again and got the truck to Borderline trail about 8pm
- Aired up back tires and attempted to start the truck was hydrolocked once we had enough power to crank
- didn't want to waste time with cutting hood off
- got truck lined up and tried to pull up a 45 degree hill/trail with a 90 sharp turn on the trail where he went off.
- took 3 vehicles to drag it up to the corner. Front two released after chalking and setting brakes
- they repositioned and started winching
- took until about 11pm to get the truck to the top of the hill.
- then drug the truck from front and rear (braking strap)
- hit evans flat .5 miles away around midnight
- ran down rancheria road all the way to 178 > took a little over 1 hour moving fairly quickly.
- they are planning to go back up today with an offroad trailer and Excursion with trailer brakes to collected the vehicle and bring back down to my house / somewhere to swap onto another trailer for the drive back.

- Think they could still use a car hauler to get back... and another truck to pull.
- being they have 2 down vehicles and only one car hauler.

Thanks for the update Brad and Jefferson. I had a tough time going to sleep last night after looking at those photos. So sorry about the truck Jefferson, but it's good to hear your passenger is recovering at home.
