Has anyone here swapped out their OEM 19" wheels for 18" wheel? If so, what tire size do you ultimately go with?
Did you buy the Johnson Rods?

I have a the Johnson Rods on om LR4 and just took the plunge on acquiring the Compomotive wheels. I have not decided on what size tire I am going to purchase. BFG A/T KO2 265/65/18's - maybe???

Any input from someone that has already been down this trail would be appreciated. Also, note that I have swapped out my front bumper for the Tactical Rovers front bumper.

Thank you,
Dean

I’ve had KO2s, Wrangler Kevlar and GoodYear Duratracs
I prefer the KOs
For size, the 265/65 Duratracs seem to rub less than my old 255/70 KO2s.
I use a GAP IIDTOOL to adjust height.

LR4/Compomotives/Duratracs currently....

The only one that fit my 2016 LR4 was the 255/55r18 Nitto Terra Grappler

Can run stock LR 18 wheels on LR4 with 1.25" spacers + some filing of Caliper Fins

Few in the club have done this
Justin I believe

Most are using GAP but yes JRods would also work as well and allow running the 265/60-65/18 Nitto / LTZ

landroverforums.com/forum/lr3-28/biggest...r3-44217/#post273372

Now the 255/55/18 will fit but doesn't have much room for airing down and airing down in the wrong conditions will destroy the sidewall - have done this and is no fun.

Much Prefer the minor rub of 265/6X/18

in the 19" leaving it stock but getting agressive tires is the Atturo MTR 255/55/19

slightly more tire for airing down and tire holds up ok - but is very loud compared to LTZ and won't require rods / Gap tool to keep higher.

----
Warning with Running Rods / GAP normally
if you run at full extention you will risk damage to your strut / shock
We have had several trucks bend their strut if / when over extended and catching a curb or other normal road obstacle (thinking pothole).

Be aware and those are typically $250-$350 for AirStruts per Corner, before labor..
