The Eastern Sierra Cooling System Endurance Test will take place June 5-7, 2015.

We will meet at the Grays Meadow Campground just outside of Independence. Campsites can be reserved through ReserveAmerica.com  You can view campsite pictures for Upper Grays Meadow and Lower Grays Meadow. I reserved site #46. There are some first come first serve sites, it is recommended to reserve a site.

If time allows we will go check out Reward Mine just east of Independence. If we can't get to it on Friday we will stop in on Saturday morning.

We will head up to north of Bridgeport and summit Mt Patterson. At 11,673 feet tall I imagine someone will overheat or blow a coolant hose. While vehicle repairs are being performed the rest of the group can explore some of the old mining claims along the way.

Camping for Saturday night greatly depends on how the day goes. Just plan on dispersed camping somewhere halfway down the mountain.

If we make good time on Saturday hopefully we will wake up on Sunday morning next to a scenic apline lake 10,000 feet up the side of Dunderberg Peak. From there we will meander south towards Mammoth Lakes, maybe running over Deadman Pass on the way. Sometime around early afternoon we will begin the treck back home.
